January 06: Comedy Club Asia

Three international comedians will be performing extended sets for your entertainment at the bargain price of just US$10 per ticket, which includes a free Tiger draft or soft drink. The stellar line up includes comedian Wade Anderson of the US, British female stand-up Shazia Mirza and Australian funnyman Jonathan Atherton.

This national holiday celebrates the liberation of Phnom Penh from the Khmer Rouge after the genocidal regime was finally defeated and Cambodians began to rebuild their lives. Cultural events and art displays abound.

January 14: Official CouchSurfing.org meeting

Get the lowdown on Phnom Penh from friendly locals and expats through the revolutionary CouchSurfing network and enjoy some drinks and gossip with fellow travellers.

January 15: Cutting Edge of Ignorance Quiz
Where: Local 2
When: from 20:00
Phnom Penh's first ever Not So Average Quiz, Not For The Faint Hearted. Participate for US$2 a person, max four persons per competing team. Half of the pot goes to the best person/team, a quarter to second pace and quarter goes to charity. Hosted by the infamous Mr Penh.

January 23: Kendo Club
Where: Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre
When: 18:30
Please come and join us to experience Kendo and the uniqueness of an ancestral Japanese martial art. The Kendo Club members meet every Tuesday (except during public holidays) from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC).
